No—your plans after Prom are your own! You can attend HP AfterProm with an entirely different set of friends if you like.


No! You can still attend and sit with your Prom group at the Shedd Aquarium. However, you may be placed on a different bus for the trip to the Aquarium, as some buses will be going back to the high school after prom, and others will be going straight to Pinstripes.


YES! Email Student Activities Director Lesa Friedrich to join the FREE party at Pinstripes after Prom.


HPHS Prom is scheduled for May 21, 2022, at the Shedd Aquarium in downtown Chicago. You can find information on Prom here.


HP AfterProm will be held at Pinstripes Northbrook, 1150 Willow Road, Northbrook IL, on May 21, 2022 from 11:30pm–2:30am.


Tickets for Prom AND AfterProm will be available in the Infinite Campus web store April 22–27. You may register for both events at once, or just HP AfterProm. You MUST register for HP AfterProm in Infinite Campus and fill out the required permission form and waiver to be allowed to attend.

You must register for HP AfterProm during the time that Prom registration is open, April 22–27.


No. You MUST register for HP AfterProm as a separate event from Prom. Registration for both events will be available in the Infinite Campus store, or from the Prom Website.


No. Seniors may register to attend only HP AfterProm if they choose.


Only dates attending Prom with an HPHS Senior will be allowed to attend HP AfterProm.

HP AfterProm is FREE to all HPHS Seniors attending Prom, and their dates. It is also FREE to all HPHS Seniors NOT attending Prom.


Highland Park High School Seniors and their Prom dates attending HP AfterProm will return from the Shedd Aquarium directly to HP AfterProm at Pinstripes. Students NOT attending HP AfterProm will be bused directly back to HPHS.


Yes. Seniors attending HP AfterProm ONLY should arrive at HPHS no later than 11pm. Parent volunteers will be waiting at HPHS to ride the bus with the students and check them in on the bus before arrival. No bags or outside food and beverages will be allowed on the buses. Buses will be loaded to depart HP AfterProm beginning at 2:15am to return to the school by 2:30am.


No. Only students arriving at the event on designated transportation will be allowed to enter.


Currently, Current Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) guidelines do not require masks to be worn at the event, or on bus transportation to and from the event. We are, however, monitoring guidelines both for Cook County and in the school setting for changes which may affect this policy. 


CCDPH continues to recommend masking with a well-fitting high-quality mask, such as a KN95 or N95 respirator, for those who are considered at high risk for severe COVID-19 illness when they are in public indoor spaces or other places where individuals near them may be unvaccinated.

Students wearing prom dresses will be allowed to bring a change of clothes in a small bag to leave at Prom check-in in the Exhibition Gym at HPHS before they board the bus to Prom. Any and all items will be tagged and delivered to the HP AfterProm venue, and will be available when students arrive at the venue at 11:30pm. Any items left with attendants to bring to HP AfterProm will be subject to search. No bags or outside food and beverages will be allowed on buses. 


Changing rooms will not be available at Shedd Aquarium for prom attendees. However, for students who wish to change from a prom dress for the After Prom event, a changing area will be provided at Pinstripes. 


The Shedd Aquarium has a strict policy which requires shoes to be worn.


If you will be bringing a change of shoes to Prom, please bring then in a SEPARATE BAG from the one which you will leave with HP AfterProm with your change of clothes! 


Students attending HP AfterProm must stay for the entire event and arrive and depart on designated buses to and from the event.
